If you've been researching permanent makeup, you've probably noticed how many studios won't tell you what it costs.
We think that's the wrong way round. You deserve to know what you're walking into before you pick up the phone — so here are our actual prices, exactly what's included, and the things that genuinely change what you'll pay.
A note before the numbers. At BrowLady in Dallas, a large share of the women we see are in their fifties, sixties and seventies, or are recovering from illness. If that's you, the price list below matters — but the right technique matters far more, and the two are connected. We'll explain why as we go.
First: what's happened to your brows?
Most women who contact us fall into one of these situations. Which one you're in changes both the technique and the cost.
Your brows have thinned with age. Extremely common, rarely discussed. Brow hair softens and sparses from our forties onward, and the outer third often disappears entirely.
You had permanent brows done years ago. Often fifteen to twenty-five years ago, when pigments were iron-oxide based. That work ages into grey, blue or mauve. You were told it would fade. It didn't.
Illness or treatment took your hair. Chemotherapy, alopecia, thyroid conditions, or a medication side effect.
Your brows were always fine, and now they're gone. Decades of tweezing catch up with most of us eventually.
The first, third and fourth situations are restoration. The second is correction, which is priced differently — we'll come to that.
Brow prices
Ombré powder brows — $550–$700
This is what we recommend most often for mature skin, and it's worth understanding why.
A soft, shaded finish, like a beautifully blended brow powder that never comes off. Because it's built from thousands of tiny dispersed dots rather than cut lines, it settles beautifully into thinner, less elastic skin, conceals any older pigment underneath, and fades gently and evenly rather than patchily.
It's also the most durable option we offer — two to three years — which matters when you're weighing the cost. You can see healed examples on our ombré powder brows page.
Combo brows — $650–$800
Soft shading through the body and tail, with a few fine strokes at the front for realism. Where some natural brow hair remains, this is often the most flattering option of all.
Nano brows — $550–$700
Machine-applied fine hairstrokes. Gentler and more controlled than microblading, and it holds definition considerably longer — usually 18 to 30 months. Suitable for mature skin that's still relatively firm.
Microblading — $450–$600
Hand-applied hairstrokes using a blade. It produces the crispest, most hair-like result — but we rarely recommend it for mature or previously tattooed skin. Thinner skin can't hold a fine cut line, so the strokes spread and soften within months, and you'd be paying again sooner than you should.
If a studio recommends microblading for mature skin without discussing this, please ask them why.
Lip prices
Lip blushing — $600–$800. Lips lose colour and definition with age — the border softens, the natural pink fades, and lipstick starts to travel into fine lines. Lip blushing restores that soft natural colour and gives the border something to hold onto. It doesn't add volume, but it makes lips look fuller, healthier and more finished. Lip liner — $450–$600. Definition around the border without full colour.
Eye prices
Lash line enhancement — $350–$450. A fine line of pigment between the lashes. It doesn't read as eyeliner — it reads as thicker lashes. This is the one we most often recommend where lashes have thinned with age or been lost to treatment, and it's the gentlest place to start if you're nervous.
Permanent eyeliner — $450–$600. A defined line, shaped to your eye. Particularly valued by anyone who can no longer see well enough close up to apply it — you need reading glasses for the detail, but you can't wear glasses while lining your eyes.
Correction and cover-up work
This is quoted per session after an in-person assessment, because no two cases are alike.
If you're living with brows that have turned grey or blue, faded unevenly, or simply don't look like you anymore, please don't assume it's beyond fixing. In the great majority of cases it isn't — but the honest answer is that we can't price it from a photograph.
How much pigment there is, how deeply it was implanted, what colour it has become, and whether any scarring exists all change what's realistic. Correction usually takes several sessions spaced six to ten weeks apart, over six months to a year.
What we can promise is this: come in, and we'll tell you plainly what can and can't be achieved, roughly how many sessions it will take, and what it will cost — before you commit to anything. If we don't think we can improve them meaningfully, you'll hear that too.
Keeping your results
Annual colour boost — $200–$300. A single refresh session as pigment naturally softens. Most clients return every 12 to 24 months, and mature skin often holds a soft, shaded result longer than you'd expect.
What's actually included?
Every price above includes everything needed for a complete result. There are no add-ons at the end.
That means your consultation and skin assessment, custom shape mapping to your bone structure, numbing throughout, premium pigments, your aftercare kit, and — importantly — your 6–8 week touch-up.
That last one matters more than it sounds. Nobody's skin holds all the pigment on the first pass, and mature skin holds slightly less. The touch-up isn't an upsell; it's the second half of the procedure.
It's also the most common place a quoted price quietly grows elsewhere. Plenty of studios advertise an attractive headline figure with the touch-up billed separately — so a $500 procedure becomes $700. When comparing quotes, always ask the same question: does that include the touch-up?
"Is it really worth it at my age?"
We're asked this often, usually a little apologetically. It deserves a straight answer.
Looked at per day rather than per session, this is one of the more economical things you can do for yourself. A $650 procedure lasting two and a half years works out to around 70 cents a day.
Set that against what you're already spending on brow pencil and powder — and, more to the point, against ten minutes every single morning trying to draw on something that used to be there. For most of our older clients, the time and the frustration are what they actually wanted back.
There's something else worth saying plainly, because nobody else will. Caring about how you look at seventy is not vanity, and it isn't frivolous. Brows are how a face shows warmth and expression. When they're gone, people read you as tired or unwell. When they're right, you simply look like yourself. That is worth spending money on at any age.
Why the cheapest option usually costs more
Correcting poor permanent makeup typically costs two to three times the original procedure, and takes six months to a year.
When brow work goes wrong, fixing it isn't a single appointment. It usually means several saline lightening or laser sessions, then fresh work once the skin has recovered. And some things can't be undone — scarring from a blade worked too deeply won't respond to any pigment-based correction.
We're not saying this to worry you. We're saying it because a $300 special that later needs $1,200 of correction was never the cheaper option.
The most reliable way to judge any artist — including us — is to look at healed results at six to eight weeks, not fresh work photographed on the day. Fresh work always looks sharp. Ask to see healed photographs on skin like yours, and on women your age. You're welcome to browse our healed before and after results and see how the work settles over time.
Common questions
Do you take a deposit?
Yes. It secures your appointment and comes off your final balance, and it's refundable if you reschedule with reasonable notice.
Do you offer payment plans?
Please ask when you get in touch. We understand that many of our clients are on a fixed income, and we'll always try to make a service work for you.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes — no charge, no obligation, and no pressure to book on the day. Plenty of people come in, take the information away, and think about it for a few months. That's completely fine.
I've had chemotherapy. What do I need to know?
Speak to your oncologist first — timing depends on your treatment and blood counts, and we'll ask for medical clearance before booking. Once you're cleared, brow and lash restoration is genuinely transformative. We'll also provide an itemised receipt if you'd like to ask your provider about HSA or FSA eligibility for restorative work.
I'm on blood thinners. Does that change the price?
No, but it may mean an extra session, which we'll discuss honestly upfront rather than surprising you with later.
Can I combine services?
Yes, and it's common — brows and lash line together is our most requested pairing. Tell us at your consultation and we'll plan the sequencing and pricing together.
How long will my results last?
Powder brows and lip blushing two to three years, nano brows 18–30 months, permanent eyeliner two to three years, microblading 12–18 months. Daily SPF makes a substantial difference to all of them.
